There are many problems that may occur during the operation of the automatic sock machine. The following is an introduction from the three aspects of mechanics, process, and electrical control:
Mechanical related problems
Yarn breakage: The reasons include excessive yarn tension caused by incorrect regulator settings or blocked yarn feeding paths, damaged or poor quality yarns and bobbins, and worn needles and yarn guide parts hooking the yarn. The solution is to adjust the tension regulator with a tension meter, check and replace the problematic yarns and bobbins and select high-quality yarns, and replace bent and blunt needles and worn yarn guide parts.
Uneven stitching: caused by inconsistent yarn feeding due to bloked or uneven tension of the yarn feeder, bent and misaligned needles or faulty needle selection mechanisms, and excessive vibration caused by unbalanced machines and loose parts. The solution is to clean the yarn feeder, balance the tension and adjust the yarn feeding, check, correct and replace the needles and calibrate the needle selection, and properly balance and install the machine and tighten loose parts.
Process related problems: Sock shape defects: caused by incorrect programming of the forming pattern, wear of forming mechanism parts, and inconsistent yarn shrinkage. The solution is to verify and adjust the pattern programming, replace worn molding parts and lubricate, test the yarn shrinkage and select yarn with consistent shrinkage.
